To book in for the service, simply send us an email to arrange a time, arrive on the day, then set off again 25 minutes later with a fully fitted reverse camera for £119.99 just like factory!

The camera operates just like factory, shows on your main infotainment screen when reverse is engaged, then toggles back to whatever screen you were previously on. The camera is FULL HD and mounted just like the factory camera is.

Please note! The reverse guide lines on the camera are exactly as they are named, only a guide. This means that they are simply an aid to the direction of your steering wheel and are not designed to indicate the width of the vehicle, it is also important to note that these will differ to a genuine camera, as we use an aftermarket camera.


Can this service be offered by post instead?

Yes, only if your Astra-K is fitted with the R4.0 unit however, you must remove your "silverbox" module located in the drivers footwell behind the OBDII port, post us it for programming, we then send it back with the reverse camera and loom, this service can be found here.

Is the software you use genuine?

Yes, we program reverse camera calibrations exactly as the factory would, we do not require a VCI that other retrofitters need due to the development of specific software built in-house by ourselves to streamline the process, meaning you don't need to wait 24 hours to complete the process, we program and fit the reverse camera in one go.

How long does it take to install and program the camera?

We install the reverse camera and program the head unit in around 25 minutes on a hatchback (Corsa-E/Adam/Astra-K Hatchback), the tourer takes around 1 1/2 hours due to the additional work needed.

If a software update is required at the time of fitting, the process may take an additional 30 minutes to complete.

Do you update the radio firmware while installing the camera?

Yes, at the point of programming we will update your radio's firmware to the latest official GM release.

Why are you so cheap in comparison to others?

Because we pass our savings on to the customer! We have streamlined the installation process of the camera to minimise costs, without cutting corners on quality and installation. We purchase the cameras in bulk, saving on costs and produce the looms in-house.

Does the camera come with warranty?

Yes, all reverse camera installations come with a 12 month warranty.

So how does the camera work?

Just like it would from factory! You engage reverse and the camera shows on your main infotainment screen, after driving off the screen returns back to whatever page you were previously on.

What type of camera do you use?

Our reverse cameras are custom made to a high specification, and are actually higher resolution than genuine cameras. They closely match the design of a genuine camera and are discrete. They are mounted between the number plate lamps.

Will the guide lines be the same as a genuine camera?

No - as we use an aftermarket camera, the guide lines will be different, this is due to our camera having a slightly different view angle to a genuine camera. On models that support it however, they will still turn like factory.

The day before arrival we will contact you as a reminder of the appointment, please ensure you give us at least 24 hours notice for cancellations, "no show" appointments will be blacklisted from any further work, this is due to the high demand for appointments.

On the day, we ask that you ensure your car interior is clean, the boot is empty, or if possible you can remove the items while we carry out the work (if having a reverse camera fitted).

What can I do during the fitting?


Greggs

Accross the road from or workshop there is a Greggs with indoor seating available, you are able to sit and have a coffee while we work on your vehicle.

Waiting with the vehicle

You are more than welcome to wait with the vehicle while we carry out the work, please note due to insurance purposes however you cannot enter our workshop.

Toilet Facilies

There are public toilet facilies available on the right hand side of the Mercedes-Benz Specialist workshop.
